Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

WAM Banner

Walk a Mile in Her Shoes® events are an awareness and fundraising tool in which men walk one mile in red stilettos holding signs expressing their commitment to be a part of the solution to end sexual violence. The mission of Walk a Mile in Her Shoes is to create a unique and powerful public experience that educates individuals and communities about the causes of sexualized violence, providing them with prevention and remediation strategies while empowering them to further develop and implement these skills interpersonally and politically. (For more information on Walk a Mile, go to http://www.walkamileinhershoes.org)

Texas A&M University Walk a Mile in Her Shoes

The goals of Walk a Mile in Her Shoes at Texas A&M University are twofold.  First, this event raises awareness and educates the community about sexual violence.   Second, the proceeds raised by Walk a Mile in Her Shoes are used to fund sexual assault and relationship violence education throughout the year.

2013 marks the third year that Walk a Mile in Her Shoes has been held on the Texas A&M Campus.  We hope that this year's event continues to build on the success of our previous Walk A Mile events.
