Participation Requirements:

In order to participate in and receive an AWIL certificate of completion, undergraduate students participating in the AWIL Learning Community must:

• be in good academic standing, as defined in Section 12.1 of the TAMU Student Rules (see http://student-rules.tamu.edu/rule12);
• attend monthly learning events (scheduled for the last Monday evening of each month, beginning in October--see the learning community director for absentee policy);
• will be assigned a mentor;
• complete a defining leadership experience and prepare a portfolio for presentation at the end of the year;
• attend AWIL socials;
• provide feedback to the AWIL Steering Committee about the program.

Cost:

$40.00

• Fees will be used to fund session materials, publicity, refreshments, etc.
• The fee will be payable by September 23, 2009
• If you are experiencing financial hardship and cannot pay the fee, please contact Lauren Murray (979-845-8784). Membership in AWIL will not be denied based on an inability to pay.

To Earn a Certificate of Completion:

To earn a certificate of completion participants will enroll in a no credit, no fee course during the Spring semester. Upon completion of all AWIL requirements, a certificate of completion will be awarded.
